When you think of a five-star hotel you typically think of stuffy suits, socialites and the occasional snob. That was far from the case at The Palace Hotel. From the valet attendant to the general manager, the feeling in the air was family. You could tell that the people that lined the halls of the hotel truly had a passion for their profession. As I sat in the Garden Court, chills went up my spine and tears filled my eyes as I heard the stories of guests who have spent some of the best days of their lives in this very room. As I sat there hearing the tales of other people’s pasts, I suddenly remembered that I, too, had a special experience in this very room. When I looked up at the glass ceiling and the crystal chandeliers it suddenly hit me that I celebrated Thanksgiving in this very room, many moons ago, with two of my most favorite people in the world. happy that the Palace Hotel brought such a momentous occasion back to life and I’m certain it will shed light on many more memories to come.
