Founded in 1839, the world-renowned luxury watch brand Patek Philippe is Geneva’s oldest independent family-owned watch manufacturer.
And the company is showing no signs of slowing down. According to Bloomberg, Patek Philippe just broke ground on a major expansion, which will add thousands of square feet of space.
California Life’s Sehr Taneja was there for the watchmaker’s 175th anniversary celebration in West Hollywood and shared this:
The distinguished guests filled the Sunset Tower Hotel as they awaited the unveiling of the Commemorative Watch Collection and the special watch for the event.
I was welcomed by many a pleasant smile as I joined in the enthusiasm. Mr. Lawrence Pettinelli, President of Patek Philippe USA, opened the celebration by sharing with us the journey of the luxury brand.
He then launched the breathtaking commemorative watch, the Grandmaster Chime. With 8 years worth of work that go into hand making each one of these watches, there are only 6 pieces of such extravagance on sale worldwide.
After spending some time admiring the watches, I visited Mr. David, the watchmaker at the event, who was more than happy to discuss the intricacies and technicalities of the watch.
A Patek Philippe watch is always a treasure for a watch collector, and the Grandmaster Chime is an ultimate beauty with a charm one cannot escape.
