Stanford tops the list for the best colleges in California according to a new ranking by college consensus. More students consider Stanford their dream College than any other institution yet Stanford can only accept 5% of applicants and has at least 30 millionaire graduates to date.
Ranking number two is Claremont McKenna College, also one of the top 5 colleges for salary potential and the second happiest College in America.
Also part of the Claremont Colleges, Pomona College is right behind CMC at number 3 with one of the highest percentages of diversity.
Harvey Mudd College is number 4 in the state and stands alongside Caltech and MIT for the rate of graduates going on to PhDs.
Scripps college is one of the most elite women’s colleges in the nation coming in at number 5.
Rounding out the top 10 is:
- Cal Berkeley
- UCLA
- Cal Tech
- Santa Clara University
- Pitzer College also of the Claremont Colleges.
