Here As I Am: A Study on Latinx Men with HIV

It’s hard enough feeling accepted living with HIV, but if you’re also LATINX, cultural differences can make you feel very alone.

A new report called “Here as I Am” investigates how social, economic and political forces shape the health and wellbeing of Latinx men with HIV.

It is believed that we can’t disrupt the enduring disparities we see in HIV unless we involve the community in their solutions.

The study was embarked on a 10-month listening tour, where they talked with over 1700 gay and queer Latinx men across the country from California to Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
