The Horst Rechelbacher Foundation is building upon its efforts to support the professional beauty industry impacted by the global pandemic. Nichole Rechelbacher, daughter of the late Horst Rechelbacher, is donating an additional $80,000 in COVID Relief Grants, bringing the Foundation’s COVID Relief donations to $104,000.

Announcing the donation in a video statement, Nicole challenged the nation’s beauty brands and professionals to match the grant and said the first brand or individual to match the $104,000 will be awarded an original piece of artwork created by Horst Rechlebacher. Painted in 1993, the artwork is infused with bright colors and combines Horst’s signature angels and flowers. Nicole described the four-part painting as “happy, happy, happy.”

The Horst Rechelbacher Foundation was an early supporter of COVID Relief efforts organized by the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation. Other supporters include CND, L’Oreal, Wella, Ratner Group, TIGI, KMS, Moroccanoil, Pivot Point, Ulta, Barboleta, Hattori Hanzo, John Paul Mitchell SystemsOribe, American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) Board of Directors, ISPA, AG Hair, Ergo, and Greg Dawson.

“We as an industry need to come together to help those impacted and I’m so honored to continue my father’s legacy of generosity and supporting an industry he loved dearly,” said Rechelbacher.

Remarking on the gift, Beauty Changes Lives President Lynelle Lynch noted, “During these very challenging times, we are touched by the acts of beauty that underlie the heart and soul of our industry. Our industry is showing the world the compassion, care and giving spirit that are at the heart of a truly beautiful industry.
