See how SeaWorld is making a splash with brand new attractions and encounters

From an electrifying experience at night to an entire area dedicated to exploration and adventure during the day, SeaWorld San Diego is celebrating its biggest makeover since the park opened over half a century ago.

Apart of this transformation is Orca Encounter – a live documentary style presentation.

“One of my favorite parts is the adaptation part of the presentation where we have a whale up close and personal with the guests and we have a whale on the screen. That allows me to go through their individual adaptations from their blow holes to their appendages,” explained Animal Behavioralist, Mike Felice.

Gusts will also see footage of the massive animals in the wild to get an idea of how they would hunt, play and more.

And the fun doesn’t end there. Over at the new three acre Ocean Explorer realm, you’ll find five family friendly rides including Submarine Quest which uses SmartPlay technology to get riders in on the action.

There are also several aquariums which allow you to get up close and personal to some unusual sea creatures without getting wet.

Electric Ocean lights up the park – the summertime spectacular is a celebration of illumination. Inspired my bioluminescence, the show features nightly performances by Cirque Electrique that are sure to leave you feeling supercharged.
