The Perfect Mother’s Day Gift Ideas For Every Mom

Want to spoil your mom this Mother’s Day?

Here’s a few ideas:

For the Foodie Mom with a Love for Travel:

Paris:

The first La Maison du Chocolat boutique opened in Paris in 1977. New Yorkers won the golden ticket in 1990, with the opening on the Upper East Side. While the two Manhattan boutiques are currently closed, online boutique is up and running for nationwide delivery. Moms can take a world tour with products that include cacao beans from Venezuela, Madagascar, Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Ghana. For this Mother’s Day, there is a limited-edition ‘rose garden’ designed box: 4-piece is $15 and 10-piece is $32, excluding shipping. Other options include Champagne Cognac Truffles or more classic ganaches and pralines. For an extra special treat for us deserving moms/teachers 🙂 we would also highlight their hatboxes.

Napa:

Legendary English muffins by Model Bakery, which has been a 90-year address on Napa’s Main Street in St. Helena. Oprah Winfrey favorite. Online shipping remains open and are sent out on Mondays.

Mom Deserves a Spa:

French skincare line Guinot (found in spas around the U.S. and on DermStore) has launched a lineup of ‘Home Sweet Home’ facials for a spa-worthy experience at home. The treatments range from de-stressing to anti-wrinkle to hydrating to firming – including step-by-step instructions from the brand’s expert estheticians. Starting at $178 for a set of products, Guinot can coordinate the delivery, so all that’s left to do is pamper. National Training Director, Nicole Landon, is on-hand to guide clients through the treatment over Zoom, if requested as well.

We have to admit we have a lot of their products and truly love them. A new product will launchMirific Anti-Aging  Body  Oil  on May 1. The light and fresh  oil  combines seaweed extract with camellia, passion flower, primrose and argan oil to restore the skin’s natural barrier. This only leaves the skin looking silky and smelling fresh, but also works behind the scenes to fight the effects of aging like hydration and elasticity.

While travel is on hold for the moment, now is the time to dream and plan. Give mom something to look forward to with a gift card for a spa weekend in the Hamptons. Shou Sugi Ban House is  a  wabi-sabi inspired wellness retreat and destination spa that incorporates many forms of wellness ranging from sound healing to reiki to yoga to hikes on the beach. Currently on offer is a  complimentary sound bath for up to 2 guests  (valued at $450) for any gift card at or above the value of $1,000. The promotion ends Memorial  Day  but the recipient has up to 5 years to redeem the certificate.

Mom Also Deserves to Sleep Better:

White Elephant has been a favorite Nantucket retreat since the 1920s. The height of preppy New England elegance with grey shingles and white trim. This is the place where families visit for generations and brides dream of being married. A stone’s throw from the center of town and right on Nantucket Harbor, White Elephant offers the quintessential coastal escape. Try White Elephant’s famously plush bedding. Throw pillows with the elephant motif, firm and soft pillows and the sumptuous duvet covers can be purchased online.

Take care of your mom this Mother’s Day while also taking care of the world around you.

Fans of  UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa can purchase a gift card to support both the local communities in Trancoso, Brazil and the hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The hotel has released a gift card, for a total value of 30,000 Brazilian Real (approximately $5,800), that includes a two-night stay at Casa Wilbert – the personal home of UXUA’s founder and one of the latest additions to the UXUA collection of homes – and a free consultation with the on-property medical director of the UXUA Vida Spa and its nutritional Vida Lab, Dr. Jullian Hamamoto.

Fifty percent of the proceeds from the sales of the gift cards will be donated to Alimente Trancoso, a program led by UXUA that provides nutritional support by delivering healthy meals to families in need in the Bahia state.

So far,  1,563 care baskets have been distributed within five different neighborhoods of Trancoso, as well as two neighboring communities says project director Laura Ramallo, UXUA’s Director of Community Programs.

“There are many protagonists of this project now contributing, but the Anjos da Rua (angels of the street) are truly inspiring. It’s a group of 16 volunteers who dedicate themselves going door to door making interviews and documenting the most vulnerable households and subsequently delivering baskets of food and supplies to them. These are my heroes.”
