Heather Dawson got the chance to interview Wes Parker, a former LA Dodger, and all-time Rawlings Gold Glove first baseman. Parker claims that he was unhealthy as a child and has been seeking out a healthier life ever since. Recently, he went out to Ecoterra health food store to talk to one of the owners and discovered some critical information to lead a healthy life.

Nestled in downtown Claremont, California, is the store Ecoterra. The unique shop combines holistic medicine and organic food while promoting healthy and rich living.

Myra and Sung Sohn.

It is run by husband and wife, Sung and Myra Sohn. It was Myra’s 30-year career as a licensed pharmacist that inspired her to take her knowledge of medicine and passion for helping others and apply it in a different setting.

Myra was sometimes frustrated as a pharmacist because she wanted to offer her patients a natural remedy, but instead, she had to give them prescription medicine. Myra offers her clients at Ecoterra a 10 Day Detox Program that helps address each person’s unique health concerns.

Most clients are stunned at the improvement of their health after the detox. Although the detox seems daunting, Myra’s clients saw the sacrifice is well worth the results.

Part of the reason Myra and Sung created Ecoterra was to make sure that everyone could enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle regardless of finances.
