A TASTE OF TUSCANY COMES TO CALIFORNIA

 Castiglioncello del Trinoro, October 2019 – Luxury boutique hotel, Monteverdi Tuscany, is pleased to present A Taste of Tuscany: a Fall Culinary Tour of California with its Executive Chef Giancarla Bodoni and, from the renowned Casanova di Neri Winery in Montalcino, father and son wine producers, Giacomo and Gianlorenzo Neri.

For the first time ever, Chef Bodoni and the Neris will journey from Italy to select destinations in Los Angeles, Santa Ynez, and Napa, California, introducing the foods and wines that have made Tuscany a premiere travel destination. Giancarla Bodoni is the award-winning Executive Chef of Monteverdi Tuscany, a luxury boutique hotel interspersed throughout a 12th century Italian village, surrounded by the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Giada de Laurentiis calls Giancarla “the heart and soul of Monteverdi.” Chef Bodoni will be preparing some of Monteverdi’s most popular signature dishes at esteemed locations from Southern to Northern California. These dishes will be paired with wines from the world-renowned Casanova di Neri winery whose wines have repeatedly earned 100-points from Robert Parker and have been crowned Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator. Giacomo Neri, one of the industry’s most influential winemakers, has received special permission to pour the 2015 vintage of his Brunello di Montalcino wines months ahead of their 2020 release.  Early reviews say the 2015 vintage of Brunello will rank among the finest in history.  The media is invited to two events during the weeklong tour, one at the legendary Brentwood-neighborhood restaurant, Toscana, in Los Angeles, and the other at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Napa, CA. Chef Giancarla Bodoni and Gianlorenzo Neri will be available for interviews at both venues. Giacomo Neri will be on-hand at the Toscana event only.
