AFIB: No time to wait

A recent survey finds 41- percent of people are avoiding the doctor’s office during the pandemic.

In this report, we learn why it’s so important to get your routine screenings and physical exams.

Neglecting your routine check-ups can be hazardous to your health, especially if you are living with an undiagnosed heart condition.

Atrial fibrillation, or AFIB, is an irregular heart rhythm. It’s a really common rhythm in the united states, and it can lead to symptoms like light-headedness or dizziness, or shortness of breath. Sometimes even some chest discomfort palpitations, or racing, in the chest.

If you have those symptoms, you need to see your doctor ASAP.

it’s important to let your doctor know about these symptoms, because atrial fibrillation can increase the risk of stroke by approximately five times.

An awareness campaign called “no time to wait” is designed to educate the public about the symptoms and the risks of living with this type of irregular heartbeat.

Well, the no time to wait campaign is an educational initiative to raise awareness of atrial fibrillation, and the symptoms related to atrial fibrillation. I’m partnering with Bristol Myers Squibb Pfizer alliance to get the message out there.
