Let’s face it: whether you’re lounging in the garden, dining alfresco, or throwing a party this season, having the perfect wine is essential. Justine Santaniello, our summer wine consultant, is here to show us all the new trending wines.

If you’re wondering what you should look for the next time you go wine tasting, look no further. High-quality wine is directly related to the vineyard where it is grown. As a result, Etude Winery has long been a fan favorite. You really can’t go wrong with any of their higher quality wines; in fact, for over 40 years, Etude Winery has operated with sustainability at the forefront, and it remains committed to its role as stewards of the land by protecting local ecosystems and supporting the local community through their employee garden. The vineyard even plans to achieve net zero emissions by 2030.

For summer cookouts Etude’s 2020 Carneros Pinot Noir is recommended because it is obtained from Etude’s Grace Benoist Ranch Estate and exemplifies why Etude is renowned as the premier producer of Pinot Noir, which is also one of the most hardest grapes to grow. It goes well with a juicy burger straight from the grill or a filled portobello mushroom. It’s vibrant and earthy, with red cherry, pink peppercorn, and spicy clove aromas.

We can’t talk about summer without including a great light white choice. That wine is the Etude 2021 Pinot Gris. It’s light and refreshing, with flowery and tropical aromas. It’s delicate and creamy, with undertones of guava, kiwi, and lemon. This goes well with curry chicken skewers or jalapeño garlic butter shrimp.

If you plan a trip to wine country anytime soon add Etude Winery to your itinerary and check out their tasting options. For more information check out etudewines.com.
