A new, extreme water sport is making a splash in San Diego Bay. It’s called flyboarding — an action-packed Iron Man-like experience that uses a jet ski to shoot the rider 40-feet above the water.

When the jet ski is on, it sucks up water and the water comes out the feet of the flyboard. Originally from France, the guys from Aquatic Aviation brought the sport to the US.

It wasn’t long before the set up shop in California, now offering both the flyboard and the hoverboard.

Paul Bulka, CEM/ Co-Founder of Aquatic Aviation says California was the perfect place to bring this extreme water sport.

Bulka says he has taught people of all ages to flyboard from ages 15 — 70. California Life’s very own Audra Stafford even gave it a shot!
