ERIKA ALEXANDER, DAVID OYEWOLO, DANNY GLOVER, WANDA SYKES, JANE FONDA, DEBRA MESSING, AL GORE, JOIN NATION’S LARGEST DIGITAL SOCIAL JUSTICE GATHERING TO BRING ATTENTION TO THE 140 million poor and low-income  people in America 

WHAT: June 20 10am – 12:30pm. The Poor People’s Mass Assembly and Moral March on Washington brings together state coordinating committees from over 45 states, 19 national religious bodies, 11 labor unions and over 150 national organizations along with artists and activists to support a multiracial moral fusion coalition of poor and low-income people sharing their struggles, committing to build power, and presenting a comprehensive policy agenda and budget designed to heal the wounds of the nation and build power of the poor by registering people for a movement that votes.  The focus of the event is to demand that the nation address systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, war economy and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. The event is organized by the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival co-chaired by Rev. Dr. William J. Barber ll and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis. Al Gore, Jane Fonda, Erika Alexander, David Oyewolo, Wanda Sykes, Danny Glover, Debra Messing and more will introduce people struggling with poverty/low income, racism, etc to tell their stories and demand policy change.
