“NASCAR Goes West” just kicked off in Las Vegas!
Saturday, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosted the Kobalt 400 and the Boyd Gaming 300. Speedway President Chris Powell told California Life’s Jason Rzucidlo fans have a lot more to look forward to on Sunday. “It should be a great weekend of NASCAR racing. We’ll have the World of Outlaws in town. We’ve got the Neon Garage where fans can get the kind of access that they can’t get on any other track on the circuit. They can watch the teams and drivers as they prepare the cars and get ready for battle.”
The drivers say being on the West Coast is a fun change of pace.
My favorite part is the warm weather and the embrace from our fans,” said Team Penske’s Brad Keselowski. “We try to take a mini-vacation while we’re here on the West Coast. Last year, I went to the Grand Canyon which is great. I don’t know what we’ll do this year.”
NASCAR will head to the Phoenix International Raceway next on March 13, before wrapping up the West Coast tour at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana on March 20.
