Palm Springs is often a place where Californians like visiting to get away from their busy lives and relax.

Guests can do anything from golfing at lush green courses to spa days at world-class resorts and taking a stroll at the mall to shop.

However, Palm Springs has undergone some recent renovations that will allure first time tourists and make seasoned visitors want to return again.

“The city is experiencing a renaissance, if you will. Many of the hotels in Palm Springs have undergone extensive renovations. The Riviera here in Palm Springs underwent a $70 million renovation. This is a legendary resort that Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis made famous back in the 60’s; they often performed here,” says Amy Blaisdell, Palm Spring’s Communications Director.

Speaking of the infamous Rat Pack, the city was a play ground for stars during Hollywood’s hay days.

Tourists often enjoy seeing how the stars such as Lucille Ball, Elvis Presley and Bob Hope relaxed  in the 50s and 60s by visiting their homes.
