The Original Broadway Production of Hamilton is Coming Out Exclusively On Disney+

Mark your calendars and grab your closest musical friends because the original Broadway production, Hamilton, is available just in time for Independence Day. We get the chance to take a look at Alexander Hamilton’s life and formative role in American history through film. The release is set on July 3rd, featuring the original Broadway cast.

Thomas Kail, the show’s director, shot three live performances of “Hamilton” featuring the original Broadway cast and it had originally been slated for a theatrical release on Oct. 15, 2021. However, we will soon get to enjoy it from the comfort of our own homes.

I’m so proud of how beautifully Tommy Kail has brought ‘Hamilton’ to the screen. He’s given everyone who watches this film the best seat in the house… I’m so grateful to Disney and Disney Plus for reimagining and moving up our release to July 4 weekend of this year, in light of the world turning upside down. I’m so grateful to all the fans who asked for this, and I’m so glad that we’re able to make it happen. I’m so proud of this show. I can’t wait for you to see it.
