Ralph Lawler, the so-called “Voice of the Clippers,” is now a bona fide Hollywood star.
Earlier this month, Lawler received the 2,575th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Lawler has been calling Clippers games for 37 years, with his trademark phrases, “Bingo!,” “Fasten your Seat-belts” and “Oh Me Oh My.” He is the third longest tenured team broadcaster in the NBA, and his many honors include three Emmy Awards and a Telly Award for his TV work.
L.A. Clippers President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Doc Rivers were there to see Lawler get his star, along with former players Sam Cassell, Gary Grant, Nom Nixon, Olden Polynice, Corey Maggette, Derek Martin, Cuttino Mobley, Lamond Murray and John Williams.
You can watch the ceremony below. It’s also airing on this week’s episode of California Life.
