When thinking about Nevada, one generally tends to think about Las Vegas, glitz, and glam. These days, they may even be thinking about sports! However, there’s a lot more to this state than people might think.

With us, we have Nevada resident and former Las Vegas Golden Knights player Deryk Engelland here to show us a new side of the state.

Take a break from the Las Vegas lights and embark on Nevada’s “Neon to Nature” road trip that takes travelers throughout Southern Nevada! There’s a lot to do, including hiking, biking, off-roading, water sports, and even rock climbing.

Check out the town of Goodsprings, a 120-year-old ghost town, and grab a drink at the oldest bar in Southern Nevada, the Pioneer Saloon!

Head over to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park and experience a new side of Nevada. Featuring incredible, scenic views that can be seen by hiking, biking, or driving, this historic site is sure to knock your socks off!

Take a guided kayak tour of the Black Canyon Water Trail or even go rafting on the Colorado River. There’s truly water fun for everyone!

Looking for an adrenaline rush? Check out the Southern Nevada town of Logandale for ATV trails spanning over 200 miles!

Take a day trip to the town of Mesquite and experience all of the championship golf courses it has to offer! Featuring courses designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, this Nevadan town is a golfer’s paradise!

If you find yourself in Las Vegas this summer, consider a new type of road trip. Take one of Nevada’s “Neon to Nature” day trips and discover a whole new side of the state!
