This week we go to the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 2023 Barrett-Jackson auctions. Over 500 vehicles crossed the auction block over 3 days and were sold to the highest bidder with no reserve price. Barrett Jackson sells stock cars, customs, and modifies too.
Some of the more popular cars included a 1972 De Tomaso Pantera that was featured in the movie Fast Five. It was used during the iconic train heist scene. A 1961 Chevy Corvette custom convertible was also auctioned that is equipped with the modern 6.2 liter supercharged V8 engine producing 650 horsepower on the inside. There’s an alpine sound system with bluetooth capability.
Dodge and Toyota offer thrill rides on a closed course outside the convention center. Attendees have to sign a waiver before riding however. Lucid showed off their 2023 electric vehicle. Attendees also have the chance to ride in them as well.
Each morning kicked off the automobile auction, it included everything from antique signs to gas pumps, gumball machines, and a Coca Cola fountain. There was also a neon sign from the Las Vegas Club Casino which was featured in the film The Hangover Part 3.
