We talk about singer-songwriter Billie Eilish’s vocal support of the Black Lives Matter movement to start off our “Best of Entertainment” section of California Life.

Eilish is extremely vocal about her support for this movement, posting frequently about it on her account of 64+ million followers.

However, Eilish has unfollowed all accounts, after allegedly posting on her Instagram story and then deleting it. Some fans allege the post read “if I am following your abuser, DM me and I will unfollow them. I support you.”

Next, we talk about Bill Cosby’s wife, Camille Cosby’s responses to the overturning of Bill’s 2018 conviction. Camille says she is “very pleased,” saying that there is racism even in the #MeToo movement.

“The #MeToo movement and movements like them have intentional ignorance pertaining to the history of particular white women,” Cosby said. “Particular white women who have from the very beginning, pertaining to the enslavement of African people, accused Black males of sexual assault without any proof whatsoever.”

We then turn our focus to COVID, and how Hollywood seems to be adapting to the “new normal.” This new normal is seen in strict safety precautions such as frequent COVID-19 testing, sanitation and disinfection practices, a “zone system” to maintain social distancing, and more.

Further, movie theaters like AMC, Cinemark and Regal have announced they are reopening amid the pandemic. There is a bit of controversy in this topic however, because the movie theaters are not explicitly requiring face coverings in cities/countries that didn’t already require them.
