Chapman Global Medical Center, a KPC Health hospital, is partnering with LifeStream Blood Bank to host a blood drive on Friday, May 1, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Chapman Global Medical Center, 2601 E Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92869.
“With the outbreak of COVID-19 throughout the country, blood donations are more important now than ever before,”
said Matt Whaley, CEO of Chapman Global Medical Center.
“We will be taking all necessary safety precautions, including screening all participants prior to entering the blood drive and practicing social distancing.”
An appointment is required to donate and can be made by calling (800) 879-4484 or by visiting http://bit.ly/donatechapman.
Only healthy people are encouraged to donate blood, and all donors must be free of COVID-19 symptoms. Healthcare workers must wait 28 days to give blood if they have cared for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients. Donors should drink plenty of fluids prior to donating and must bring photo ID with proof of age.
