Coast to Coast Heads to La Quinta for the 2024 American Express Golf Tournament!

Beginning in 1960, the American Express Golf Tournament has cemented itself as a favorite among golfers and golf fanatics alike. This year as the tournament reaches its 65th anniversary, the positive impact can be felt throughout the community of La Quinta, from local businesses to those participating in the tournament themselves.

Number #1 ranked golfer in the world, Scottie Scheffler, praised both the city and the tournament saying, “I decided to start here and I just really enjoyed coming to the desert and playing some golf. It’s a great place to practice…the event’s fun, the pro-am aspect is fun. I’ve had some good partners over the years that I’ve enjoyed playing with.”

Since its inception, the tournament has seen a multitude of both golfers and celebrities come and go, but one thing has stayed the same: the event’s charitable efforts toward the local community. Over the years, the American Express Golf Tournament has donated over $65 million to local charities throughout the Coachella Valley. There’s no doubting the economic impact of this world-class event! 

Amateur golfer Nick Dunlap secured the victory in this year’s tournament, joining the impressive list of winners from this iconic event.
