CWIMA “In-Person” Connect Events Set for March Several Groups Will Meet on the Third Thursday

The Christian Women in Media Association (CWIMA) has announced it will hold “in-person” Connect Events on March 18th in several locations across the country. These gatherings will provide a formal program featuring a Keynote Inspirational Speaker. Some locations will also include a presentation by a Professional Enrichment Speaker and entertainment by a Worship Artist.

The cities that currently plan to meet in-person are Dallas, Atlanta, and Hot Springs, Arkansas.The Dallas Connect led by Tracey Mitchell, will gather at the Park City Club at 5956 Sherry Lane on the 17th Floor. The Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Paula McDonald. With a Ph.D. in Theology, Dr. McDonald brings her life-long experiences, challenges, and God moments to life to all she meets. Dr. McDonald’s message is to “Live2Day.” She’s the author of two books, Live2Day, and Beloved Not Broken and hosts a “Live2Day” podcast. The Professional Enrichment Speaker in Dallas will be Television/Radio Host and Award-winning Author, Lisa Burkhardt-Worley. Burkhardt-Worley, the founder of Pearls of Promise Ministries, is the Executive Producer and Co-host of “POP Talk,” a program that can be found on five television, and a number of radio platforms. The former national television Sports Reporter has written, or been a part of ten books and a Bible study. Dr. Marina McLean will be the March Worship Leader. Dr. McLean is a recording artist, songwriter and award-winning author of three books. McLean has released three worship albums: In the Glory, Synchronized and Encounter with Worship. McLean has been involved in teaching worship leaders and audiences in workshops that have brought people into an awareness of a deeper worship experience. There will be a plated served luncheon with parking included. The Connect begins at 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $35.

The Atlanta Connect, led by Destiny Yarbrough, will feature one of the nation’s leading Bible Teachers and Speakers, Tracey Mitchell. Mitchell is also the CWIMA Vice-President of National Connections, and leads the Dallas Connect Event. She is CEO of “The Winning Woman,” a ministry-based consulting firm and is also a published author of Downside Up, Becoming Brave, and The Invitation. In addition, Mitchell is the Executive Producer and Co-Host of Life From DFW, a television show that reaches millions via satellite, cable television and the internet. Atlanta’s Connect meeting starts at 4:00 p.m. and meets at 1213 Avalon Blvd. in Alpharetta, Georgia. The cost is $10.

The Hot Springs Group, with Kandi Rose leading, will congregate at Hibachi Sushi Buffet, 6:30 p.m. at 4334 Central Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas and the cost is $10. One of the Speakers in Hot Springs is Sandra Hardage. Hardage is the Founder of “My Journey of Faith Ministries”, a Christian Women’s Online Ministry. The other speakers are “Real Talk” hosts, Ronda and Annette. “Real Talk” is found on YouTube. Ronda and Annette are also Recording Artists.

“Our March programs are exceptional, so we hope many will attend and will be both inspired and equipped,” said Suellen Roberts, Founder of Christian Women in Media. “We also continue to take precautions at our events to prevent the spread of COVID-19 so we will require the wearing of masks until seated at the individual tables.” 

Christian Women in Media meets every Third Thursday, alternating between in-person and online events on Zoom. The next online international Connect Group meeting on ZOOM is scheduled for April 15th at Noon
