The Santa Barbara Symphony’s Music Education Center connects the youth in the community to the music and the world around them – gaining 21st century skills to be leaders in the community all while having fun and making new friends.

From their award-winning mobile music classroom, to their String Workshop, Junior Orchestra, Youth Symphony and everything in between, the sequential set of programs provides opportunities for all ages and skill levels to discover what’s out there for them in the music industry.

“We strive to create an environment where students can not only build upon their musical experience but also just have fun,” said Dr. Amy Williams, Director of Education/Community Engagement for the Santa Barbara Symphony.

By collaborating with the Santa Barbara Unified School District and professional musicians like Music Director Andy Radford, bassoonist for the Santa Barbara Symphony, the program encourages the youth to achieve their highest musical potential.
