Sunday, April 24th, 2022: NBC Nightly News host Lester Holt was inducted into the 2022 National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Holt is an American journalist known for his position as news anchor for NBC Nightly News and Dateline NBC. Considered a “true journalist,” Holt is notorious for putting his passion into every story he reports.
Holt was at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas over the weekend to accept the honor, telling event attendees, “I have so much respect for this medium [broadcast television] and so much belief in its future.”
“Lester Holt’s integrity, gravitas, and dedication make him one of the preeminent journalists in America today,” said NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith. “Millions of Americans turn to him every day to find out what is happening in their communities and deepen their understanding of the world.”
