In 2018, there were be approximately 63,000 new cases of kidney cancer diagnosed in the United States alone with approximately 15,000 deaths.

According to Dr. Saby George, MD from the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, there are various causes for the disease including smoking, obesity, hypertension and more.

The most common type of kidney cancer is called Renal cell carcinoma or RCC for short. This kind mainly effects those 50-70 years old.

Kidney cancer symptoms include blood in urine, a mass or lump on the side or lower back and flank and lower back pain on one side.
