Monique Soltani covered the Santa Barbara International Film Festival for our show but also was able to enjoy a weekend staycation in one of the most beautiful spots in the state.
Many celebrities were present at the star studded event. Nicole Kidman was one of the familiar faces that walked the carpet.
When asked what Kidman wants people to feel after her films she said “hope”.
Nicole Kidman certainly wasn’t alone as thousands packed the streets at the 26th annual SB film festival looking to get a glimpse of old school Hollywood heavy hitters and a few fresh faces.
A new pair of film makers, Jacob Siegel and Ian Wexler, credited the city for there success.
It’s no wonder with it’s destination desirability Santa Barbara has been making headlines for 13,000 years.
Mayor Helene Schneider credits the film festival for helping put the city on the map but with a nickname like the American Riviera with or without the touch of tinsel town Santa Barbara is the place to be for a staycation or a life long location.
