Have you ever wondered if two kid’s toys could spawn the inspiration for an entire amusement park?
Well it’s been done. The Lego – a kids toy that has been popular for generations – sparked the inspiration for LEGOLAND – an amusement park that draws more than a million visitors each year.
Located in beautiful Carlsbad, California, about 30 minutes north of San Diego, LEGOLAND is the perfect entertainment destination for any family – especially those with children under 12.
Inside, you’ll find a world where virtually everything is made of Legos. Now celebrating it’s 18 year anniversary, LEGOLAND is divided into nine themed areas and features more than 50 rides and attractions.
The rides range from easy going, to adventurous and even daring. Whether it’s flying colorful helicopters, driving cars on a real street, fighting fires at the Fire Academy, or captaining a pirate ship, there are plenty of hands-on things to do.
Our very won David Wylie takes us inside the park for a closer look on this week’s episode. To see more, watch the full segment below or see it air nationwide on California Life with Heather Dawson.
