The Need for Sleep is Real.


According to an American Sleep Association survey, nearly 38% of participants reported unintentionally falling asleep during the day at least once in the preceding month. The need for sleep is real. Ava Weeks shares a few tips to help us all rest with ease.

Here are some helpful tips:

  1. Have a nighttime routine for about 30 minutes before going to sleep, activities that are relaxing and calming.
  2. A comfortable sleeping environment is essential. Make sure the mattress is pleasant.
  3. 20-30 minutes of exercise every day.
  4. Avoid substances like alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine.

A problem that gets in people’s way of sleep is a LACK of prioritization of sleep. Often, humans get caught up in a fast-paced lifestyle and forget to prioritize sleep.
