Every year for 12 years in a row, the city of Encinitas hosts the annual Dog Days of Summer event – a day filled with fun, sun and man’s best friend.
Not only is this a free event, but it boasts over 200 dog-related vendors and rescue groups, pet adoptions, live music, dog contests, kids activities, beer & wine garden, food trucks and more!
On August 13th of this year, the event will be held at the Encinitas Community Park and will feature a carefully curated “Maker’s Market Row” where you can find quality handmade goods and connect with local artisans.
The event will also feature a “Rescue Row” presented by Rancho Coastal Humane Society and Pet Health Expo presented by the City of Encinitas.
And if your dog likes to strut it’s stuff, you can enter one of six competitions: Cutest Puppy, Best Looking Big Dog, Best Looking Small Dog, Best Trick, Best Dressed and Dog/Owner Look-A-Like.
