It’s that time of year again. Here are five things you have to do Saint Patrick’s Day:
#`1: Decorate Your House with Leprechauns and Shamrocks
Did you know that the Irish have been representing the shamrock since the 1700s? It actually symbolizes the re-birth of spring. How fitting!
Also- did you know that leprechauns were not always decked out in green. They used to be associated with the color red.
While you’re decorating, make sure to hide a pot of gold somewhere. The lucky winner finds it!
#2: Purchase a Lottery Ticket
‘Luck of the Irish:’ what better day to pick up a Lottery Ticket?
#3: Eat an Irish-themed Meal
Prepare an Irish meal for dinner! It’s the best excuse to cook warmed, mashed potatoes, corned beef and cabbage, hash, shepherd’s pie, or try out green beer!
#4: Watch an Irish-themed Movie
While you’re snuggling up at the end of the night, make sure you watch an Irish-themed movie, such as: Brooklyn (2015), Far and Away (1992), or the Irish classic Waking Ned Devine (1998).
#5: WEAR GREEN!
Okay, last but not least, I shouldn’t have to write this, but you NEED TO WEAR GREEN! ‘Cause if you don’t, a little leprechaun is going to pinch you!
