The SeaWorld Dolphin Encounter

If you love dolphins as much as we do, the SeaWorld exclusive trainer-guided, poolside opportunity to meet the dolphins is the ideal family experience. You get the chance to feed and learn to communicate with dolphins up close and personal.

Bottlenose dolphins are some of the world’s most intelligent creatures. The SeaWorld Dolphin experience allows you to spend up-close time with bottlenose dolphins during the trainer-led, poolside encounter. You have the opportunity to touch and feed bottlenose dolphins, while using different hand signals to actually communicate with the dolphins.

What To Know:

Before booking your SeaWorld Dolphin Encounter, here are a few things you should know. The park admission is not included with your program reservation but is required, so you’ll want to make sure to have that taken care of.

This is a highly desired experience, so keep in mind space is limited and early reservations are recommended. The program lasts between 10 to 15 minutes and is subject to change.

All participants must be at least 48 inches tall (or accompanied by a paid adult participant). Participants under 18 will need a parent or guardian present. No loose jewelry, sunglasses or smoking is permitted during the interaction.

Photographers will be available during the interaction with photos available for purchase afterwards for an additional fee. Dates, program, prices and event offerings are subject to change without notice. You can find more information about the program here.

Dolphin Interaction: The In-Water Experience!

The in-water experience allows you to meet, touch & feed dolphins in their own environment. It’s an unforgettable experience where you interact with dolphins through encouragement-based training and the universal language of play.

Animal trainers introduce small groups of guests to amazing bottlenose dolphins. You get to wade into the waters and get to know these marine mammals through touching, feeding and playing with them in the water.

Our very own Evangeline and Elise Thuresson personally experienced the in-water interaction!

It’s an exciting time to visit SeaWorld! They’ve just welcomed two new baby dolphins to the animal family. Both moms and babies are doing well, and you can visit them for a limited time at special daily presentations in Dolphin Amphitheater.

Right now is a great time to score your annual pass, to visit again and again, and watch these adorable babies grow up. Passes are starting at just $10 per month! Enjoy unlimited admission with no blockout dates, free parking, plus other benefits totaling hundreds of dollars in added value.
