How Military Training Helps In Running a Successful Business

We join Zachary Venegas, the founder and CFO of Helix TCS, and explore a modern view on the franchising industry including whether franchises are worth it and what considerations to undertake.

After serving in the US Military and living overseas, Venegas moved home and founded Helix TCS in 2015. Over four years, the company has been very successful.

We took it from a private firm to a public company that’s the largest pure-play transported security operation in the industry, the largest compliance software operator in the industry with the largest overall market share, and we have plans to make it even more successful in the future.

Zachary Venegas credits his military background for benefitting his career as an entrepreneur. He shares that the ability to stay focused on a certain objective, despite changing circumstances is something he learned while serving as an infantryman in the military. He then relates this to the industry he works in now.

Although the industry grows in fits and starts, it has not been a smooth rollout from state to state or even country to country. But what has grown, is the industry itself.

Helix TCS is confident that as long as the industry is growing, the company will continue to grow along with it.
