Did you know that 16,000 people in the United States get diagnosed with follicular lymphoma each year? After all, follicular lymphoma is the most common slow-growing type of non-Hodgkins lymphoma

Coast to Coast meets survivor Renee Bentson and Dr. Elizabeth Budde who share a bit about follicular lymphoma and Renee’s journey through treatment.

The process of follicular lymphoma treatment is not easy, shares Dr. Budde. “Follicular lymphoma, when it comes back after initial treatment, it becomes more difficult to treat with limited treatment options.”

One person who underwent treatment at City of Hope Cancer Center for follicular lymphoma is survivor Renee Bentson. “After the shock wore off…I wanted to go to City of Hope Cancer Center,” she states, “because I was familiar with them and I know they’re high-standing for treatment and research.”

When being diagnosed with follicular lymphoma, one will need support and the ability to receive treatment. One place they can find it is at the City of Hope Cancer Center.
