With the new year in full swing, many are trying to keep their healthy eating resolutions. However, it can be difficult with the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Coast to Coast’s Elise Thuresson chats with Registered Dietician and Personal Trainer, Stefani Sassos, about some easy and nutritious food options that can be found at Aldi!
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be a hassle, explains Sassos. “It’s really about making small, but practical changes to make your lifestyle sustainable and keep those healthy habits in the long term.”
As the Director of the Good Housekeeping Institute’s Nutrition Lab, Sassos knows the importance of eating healthy, yet satisfying dishes. One type of dish that Sassos recommends for those trying to eat healthier is seafood! Aldi boasts a multitude of options for seafood lovers, such as Alaskan Cod, Snow Crab Legs, Bay Scallops, and more!
Another staple of a balanced kitchen is produce, according to Sassos. Aldi offers a large selection of produce that shoppers can combine with seafood to make healthy meals! One meal Sassos recommends is salmon lettuce cups, featuring Aldi’s fresh Atlantic Salmon and lettuce from Aldi’s vibrant selection of produce!
Needing to feed a larger group? Not to worry! One dish from Aldi that will satisfy the whole bunch is a street corn and shrimp dish, featuring shrimp from Aldi’s fish market, combined with their Park Street Deli Street Corn Dip to make an easy and delicious meal!
If you’re trying to keep those healthy eating resolutions, Sassos recommends going into the grocery store with both a plan and budget to ensure that you can maintain your goals!
