Honoring Military and their Families on The Day of the Deployed

The struggle and sacrifice that members of the United States Military face are too often overlooked. Letters of Gratitude invites members of the public to write letters of appreciation to those serving our country as well as their families to celebrate the Day of the Deployed on October 26th, which kickstarts November’s Military Family Appreciation Month.

It is easy to send a letter through their Letters of Gratitude website where they will also be posting a chosen few letters to honor those who are serving at home and abroad.

Lisa Bradley and Cameron Cruse understand firsthand the struggle and sacrifice for military families as a whole. They started R. Riveter, an American Handmade Leather Goods Company, to help fellow military spouses gain meaningful employment and thrive under the pressures of being a military spouse.

Bradley and Cruse know that a few words of support and a steady job can mean a lot to a military spouse or somebody serving in the military. Lisa Bradley recently expressed to the Daily Wire, “R. Riveter doesn’t hire military spouses to make handbags. We make handbags to hire military spouses, and created a greater sense of mission.”

Local Military Support Projects such as Veterans Fishing Day, which provides homeless veterans an opportunity to spend a day at sea on a premiere fishing boat thanks to Veterans Village of San Diego and Point Loma Rotary Club is another avenue of hope for the warriors of this Country. It is through efforts such as Bradley and Cruse that aim to keep veterans off of the street, and in good jobs with loving support systems at home.
