Did you know that 35-percent of Americans say their sleep quality is “poor” or “only fair”? Lifestyle expert Lance Smith says the amount of sleep we get can say a lot about our stress levels.
Stressed people typically sleep less than 7 hours, while non-stressed people get the recommended 7 to 9 hours.
Besides picking up the habit of reading and putting down electronic devices, the best way to cross over into a non-stressed sleep-zone include investing in your well-being.
The key is to start in your bedroom. In addition to investing in a new mattress, set aside time for relaxing, start a meditation practice, and take a short walk during the day to reduce your stress levels.
