Palm Springs‘ littlest heroes have a new place to play.
The City recently opened a new state-of-the-art, ADA-accessible playground at Sunrise Park. The playground was funded by Measure J tax dollars and includes equipment specially designed for those with special needs.
“What excited me about it is that all kids play on it together. There’s no resistance from kids that don’t have challenges, because it looks like all other type of cool playground equipment,” said Palm Springs City Councilman JR Roberts.
The playground is just one of the ways Palm Springs is working to spread its spirit of inclusiveness.
