Pink your plate for breast cancer awareness

Early detection saves lives.

That’s the message that will be emblazoned on every California Pink Ribbon License Plate – IF organizers can get enough people to order them. So far, about 2,080 plates have been sold. A total of 7,500 pink plates must be purchased before the DMV will manufacture them.

Every penny raised from sales of the California Pink Ribbon License Plate will go into the Breast Cancer Control Account, which funds the Every Woman Counts (EWC) programEWC is administered by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and provides free clinical breast exams and mammograms to California’s underserved women.
