With Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas this year, many unique safety concerns are brought to the forefront. For an event this large, all hands need to be on deck!

Coast to Coast is joined by Las Vegas Emergency Manager, Carolyn Levering, and Verizon Frontline President, Maggie Hallbach, to discuss how Las Vegas and Verizon are teaming up to keep the Super Bowl safe this year!

The Las Vegas public safety partners have been preparing all year for the Super Bowl, garnering practice through managing other large sporting events taking place in Las Vegas, such as Formula 1 Grand Prix races. All of their preparations like venue safety, traffic management, and overall coordination of resources will aid them in managing the biggest sporting event of the year!

The public safety checklist could not be completed without the communication providers of the Super Bowl, like Verizon! Verizon Frontline is assisting Las Vegas public safety agencies through a multitude of ways, such as ensuring efficient network speeds and collaborating directly with officials from federal and state agencies!

“We also spent about three years tripling our investment in Las Vegas and around the valley area to make sure that Verizon 5G can deliver the best performance,” explains Hallbach. “This allows not just our first responders to communicate well, but the community at large to benefit from this.”

While safety may not be the first aspect of the Super Bowl that people think about, one can see how much work goes into executing the Super Bowl smoothly, with the help of communication partners like Verizon Frontline!
