Take a trip to Paso Robles for its Charming Downtown Area and Delicious Wines.

Paso Robles, California, is known for its sprawling wine country. But what you may not know is that there is also a bustling downtown area!

California Life’s Audra Stafford takes us there in part three of our Paso Robles Cabs of Distinction spotlight series.

Located at the halfway point between San Francisco and Los Angeles is Paso Robles’ 26,000 acres of vineyards. At the heart of the town, is a charming downtown filled with shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms.

The LXV wine lounge is a place where the art of fine wine and art of living come together. Every wine label is inspired by art, and every person on their label is an artist. The wine pairing experience uniquely uses spices to unlock flavors you usually wouldn’t get on your first sip.

Vivant Fine Cheese in downtown Paso carries about 250 varieties of cheese at any given time, that are mostly local.

Burbank Ranch Winery and Bistro has flights of wine that pair with small bites of food. The Ranch also has an educational winery at the front of the tasting room.

Downtown Paso Robles also offers a full-service luxury salon, the regions finest boutique hotel, Hotel Cheval, shopping at places like AndBe Boutique, live music, art, a general store, and more!

Also, every year is the Cabs of Distinction event where local winemakers come together to showcase their cabernets and bordeaux.

With so many exceptional things to see, do, and taste in Paso Robles, it’s no wonder Wine Enthusiast Magazine named it “Wine Region of the Year.”
