Just in time for the holidays, Emmy-nominated actor, singer, Broadway star and Disney royalty, Christy Carlson Romano, is settling in to her new Texas-living and making a name for herself in the foodie world with her exciting YouTube original cooking series “Christy’s Throwback Kitchen,” which includes special celebrity guests as they cook some of her favorite festive meals. She additionally stars alongside her husband Brendan Rooney in their FOX/Hulu cooking series “Bucket List Bistro“, which features international dishes and recipes from their “travel bucket list”, inspired by being stuck working at home due to COVID-19 while being a parents to their two young children. Without a doubt, they are solidifying themselves as the new power couple of lifestyle content creators, offering something for everyone in the family.

Christy Carlson Romano, known for her starring roles in “Kim Possible”, “Even Stevens”, CADET KELLY, Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, and so much more, is now making a splash in the kitchen exploring her Italian foodie roots (the Romano’s actually sold a family recipe to the Prego pasta sauce brand!). In her YouTube series, “Christy’s Kitchen Throwback,” she makes delicious dishes with some of your favorite 90s/2000s stars and today’s biggest YouTubers, taking you down memory lane in every video. Guests on her show range from some of Disney Channel’s biggest stars including Nicole Sullivan (“Kim Possible”), Anneliese van der Pol (Disney’s “That’s So Raven” & “Raven’s Home”), Lalaine (“Lizzie McGuire”), Jennifer Stone (Wizards of Waverly Place) to other big nostalgic actors including Jodie Sweetin (Netflix’s “Fuller House), Walter E. Jones (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and Devon Werkheiser (Nickelodeon’s “Ned’s Declassified”), to name a few.

In addition to “Christy’s Kitchen Throwback”, Christy has also teamed up with her husband Brendan Rooney, to create the fun digital cooking show “Bucket List Bistro” which airs on HULU as well as FOX’s YouTube Channel. The series features Romano and her family as she creates international dishes and recipes from her “travel bucket list”, inspired by being stuck working at home due to COVID-19 and being a parent to young children. Constantly fantasizing about where she would like to go and visit, she decides to bring her travels to her home dining table. Whether it’s because of having young kids, quarantine, a tight budget, or no time, “Bucket List Bistro” helps people feel connected to the world they are longing to be out in again. “Bucket List Bistro” is the first original series coming from FOX’s “Taste of FOX” YouTube Channel, which features clips and bonus features from the network’s culinary series like “Masterchef” and “Hell’s Kitchen”, as well as food-centered content from FOX. New episodes air every other Thursday.

Having been in the industry from such a young age, getting her start in theater and musicals, Christy moved out to Los Angeles at the age of 14 to star in the now iconic Disney comedy “Even Stevens” as ‘Ren,’ the older, high achieving, scholastically gifted sister of ‘Louis Stevens,’ portrayed by Shia LaBeouf. Christy would go on to film a plethora of other films including TAKE FIVE, THE CUTTING EDGE: 2 & 3, and CAMPUS CONFIDENTIAL, to name a few. While attending university, Christy met her now husband Brendan Rooney and tied the knot on New Year’s Eve in 2013.

When Christy is not busy filming for her YouTube series, acting, or singing, she can be found spending time with her husband and two daughters exploring their new home in Austin, Texas. They love to lead a healthy lifestyle by maintaining a healthy balance of eating right, working out, and spending quality time with the family.
