After a few weeks of travel blogs, I’ve decided it’s time to bring some fashion into your life. I’m not sure about you, but lately I’ve noticed an increase in ‘BIG SALE’ subject-lined emails and, call me a sucker, but those really get me every time.
Because 90% of my inbox consists of retail-related senders, my online shopping carts have been full more than they’ve been empty. The phrase ‘treat yourself’ has also been thrown around a time or two. So, after a few binges and shopping extravaganzas, I’d thought I’d show you some of my new favs.
Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to introduce to you my very first jumpsuit. A classic, black, jogger style piece from Lulu’s that I wore three times just last week (no shame).
I was always pretty skeptical of the jumpsuit fad that seemed to be taking over my Instagram feed. But, after a little bit of time and a lot of online browsing, they made their way into my basket and onto the UPS truck over to my house. When the package finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised.
It’s soft, flowy and extremely comfortable. All while making me look super on-trend AND covering up my white legs that haven’t seen the sun in like 12 years.
And the jumpsuit wasn’t the only thing in that made its way into my shopping cart. When I was browsing through the new arrivals, I came across the most perfectly crafted shoes I’ve ever seen.
First of all, these babies are YELLOW. My all time favorite color. AND they have a slight chunky heel – casual enough to spice up a pair or jeans yet dressy enough to wear to a formal event.
Now, these shoes are Steve Madden so they’re a little on the pricey side. BUT I found the exact same style, just different colors, at Target last week.
They have a nude pair which will literally go with ANY outfit so, I splurged. They also carry them in black but they didn’t have my size in the store which saved me about $30. But, I honestly love them so much I’m probably going to buy them online after I post this blog (don’t judge me).
And, to add a little spice to my ensemble, I topped it off with 2 layered chokers – both from ALVJewels.com.
First, the rainbow choker. Not only does it tie in perfectly with the shoes, but it can add some zest to any colorless outfit – and let’s be real we all know we sport the ‘all black’ look at least once a week.
Then, the gold-dangle choker – an all-time FAV. I layer this bad boy with practically every choker I own because why wear one when you can wear two? It’s a little pricey for a necklace but I wear it so often it was worth the investment.
