For the past nine years, two central valley staples have partnered to make the perfect pairing.
Monique Soltani takes us to Yosemite for this weeks wine segment. This year’s Wine Masters weekend at Tenaya Lodge played host to top chefs and central valley wine makers. For 9 years the lodge has partnered with Fresno State, the only university licensed to produce and bottle wine. Only grapes from the San Joaquin Valley are used, an area that is normally not considered for award winning wine, but students at Fresno University have won over 300 medals to date.
Buy local and use local.
Idle Hour Winery is a local wine maker that has been supportive and supported Tenaya Lodge locally in the community. Whether you come to this home away from home in the heart of the Sierras for wining and dining or touring and exploring, there’s always something cooking in Tenaya.
