The City of Malibu put a ban on plastic straws and Bob Morris at Paradise Beach Cafe in Paradise cove is 100% in support of it. 500 million straws are used per day and at Paradise Beach Cafe last year, they used 600,000 plastic straws.
This is now a law, where heavy fines are being imposed. What’s the solution? Compostable straws are being made from corn starch. However they still take about 180 to decompose, and the city still banned these.
Bob came up with the idea of Pasta straws! Which, do not impact cost and 100 percent biodegradable.
