Jurassic World saga comes to an end with the release of Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

Entertainment Reporter Alesia Stanford takes us to the movies with the release of the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy.

If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to live among the dinosaurs, this sequel to  Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and the sixth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise may give us some insight.

It’s a conclusion to the storyline started in the original Jurassic Park trilogy. Humans and dinosaurs are co-existing in Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) but not always peacefully.

The film is set four years after the events of Fallen Kingdom and the destruction of Isla Nublar, with dinosaurs now living alongside humans around the world.

To ensure survival, the best and brightest minds on those dinosaurs and their kin have assembled together for one final adventure.

The fate of humanity lies in the hands of an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, BD Wong, and Omar Sy.

Dern, Goldblum, and Neill reprise their roles from the Jurassic Park trilogy, appearing together for the first time since the 1993 film Jurassic Park.

Of course, it doesn’t help when the formerly pre-historic creatures can adapt to their surroundings.

This high-octane adventure will have moviegoers gripping their seats as they watch the humans on the screens hold on for dear life in this adventure designed to close out the highly popular franchise.

There are some tender moments and some humor. Especially when Chris Pratt makes a promise to a dinosaur to bring a baby raptor home.

All in all, this reunion story is a nice way to close out this highly popular series, bringing old and new characters together for one last time on the big screen.

The film was released June 10 in theaters everywhere, and has already grossed $655 million worldwide, becoming the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2022.
